d. island- a piece of land surrounded by water on all sides.
e. desert - a dry stretch of land ( hot or cold) with little or no vegetation
f. coast - land near the sea.

Now carefully look at the map of India given below. It shows the physical features/ divisions of our country. Keeping this in mind, we will learn to do a bit of map work today.

Learn to label and shade all the six physical divisions neatly.
Observe and practice how to draw the map key shown on the left- hand side of the map attached below:-
REMEMBER! Only colour pencils to be used for shading. NO crayons will be allowed.
